In the 4th forum, we are honored to have Dr. Frank Wei from the USDA and Mr. Roger Ding from Cloudera to share their experiences on Deep Learning Algorithms and Big Data Platforms respectively.

 

Dr. Frank Wei, Data Scientist at USDA – NISS

Dr. Wei has over 6 years of research and work experiences in machine learning, where he gained the expertise in Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), etc…

  • Introductory to the Core of Alpha Zero – Deep Reinforced Learning
  • Introduction to DRL
  • A comparison of model-based and model-free DRL approaches
  • The application of DRL on Alpha Zero – An AI system that wins the world champion in GO

 

Mr. Roger Ding, Solutions Architect at Cloudera

Mr. Ding has over 10 years of experience in distributed computing and big data. Mr. Ding currently works at Cloudera, where his primary role is to provide the company’s customers with solutions to problems relating to computing and big data storage.

  • The legacy vs. modern data platform features
  • The origin and development of big data eco-system
  • The value of modern big data platform in business
